Monday January 17: Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Monday February 21: Presidents’ Day

Thursday May 12, 6PM: CSBA Nominations Meeting (virtually). Nominations for seven Directors Class of 2025 and two Welfare Fund Trustees Class of 2024.

Monday May 30: Memorial Day. A day set aside to honor the memory of those who paid the ultimate price to defend our nation, our freedom and our way of life. 

Sunday June 19: Juneteenth, commemorating the date in 1865 when the last enslaved African Americans were informed, in Galveston, Texas, that they have been emancipated. 

Monday June 20: Juneteenth observed. City offices closed.

Tuesday June 21, 6PM: CSBA Annual Meeting. Special Guest: Steven Greenhouse, former labor and workplace reporter at the NY Times for 31 years, and author of “Beaten Down, Worked Up: The Past, Present and Future of American Labor”, published by Alfred A. Knopf.

Monday July 4: Independence Day.

Monday September 5: Labor Day. The day that celebrates our hard work and that of millions of others who perform everything to keep our city, state and country running, as well as the contributions of organized labor, the folks who invented the weekend, safer work conditions, and the fight to obtain better compensation via wage increases, health benefits, pensions and much more.

Monday October 10: Columbus Day/ Indigenous Peoples’ Day.

Tuesday November 8: Election Day. As we work for the City of New York and its agencies, who leads this city can effect our careers and our lives. Please vote!

Friday November 11: Veterans Day. Please remember to thank one or more veterans today for their service to our country, protecting our liberty and way of life.

Thursday November 24: Thanksgiving 

Sunday December 25: Christmas (traditional)

Monday December 26: Christmas (offices closed)
