Monday March 25, 6PM: CSBA General Membership Meeting. Please attend (virtually)! Special Guest Speaker: Local 237 President and IBT General Board Vice President at Large Gregory Floyd. Kindly contact us by March 22nd for log-in information.
Tuesday May 14, 6PM: CSBA Nominations Meeting. By now, you should have received the notification by mail. You need to be nominated by one member in good standing and seconded by another such member [you cannot nominate yourself], either by email ahead of the meeting or at the online meeting itself. Kindly email csbainfo@local237.org and kduffy@local237.org for more information. FYI, nominations are for all six CSBA Officer positions (Class of 2027), seven CSBA Director positions (Class of 2027), and two CSBA Welfare Fund Trustee positions (Class of 2026).
Monday May 27: Memorial Day. A day set aside to honor the memory of those who paid the ultimate price to defend our nation, our freedom and our way of life.
Wednesday June 19: Juneteenth, commemorating the date in 1865 when the last enslaved African Americans were informed, in Galveston, Texas, that they have been emancipated.
Thursday June 20, 6PM: CSBA Annual Meeting (virtually). Special Guest Speaker: State Senator Robert Jackson, Chair of the Civil Service and Pensions Committee. Please contact us at least a day ahead of time for log-in information.
Thursday July 4: Independence Day.
Monday September 2: Labor Day. The day that celebrates our hard work and that of millions of others who perform everything to keep our city, state and country running, as well as the contributions of organized labor, the folks who invented the weekend, safer work conditions, and the fight to obtain better compensation via wage increases, health benefits, pensions and much more.
Saturday September 7: Labor Day Parade. Yes, you can enjoy the entire Labor Day weekend and then participate in the Labor Day Parade the following Saturday. CSBA is marching with Local 237, with an 11:30am kick off. Meet at West 45th Street, between Fifth and Sixth Avenues. Bring your Family, Friends and Co-Workers. Free T- Shirts and Refreshments will be provided.
Monday October 14: Columbus Day/ Indigenous Peoples’ Day.
Wednesday October 30, 6PM: CSBA General Membership Meeting. Please attend (virtually)! Kindly contact us at least a day in advance for log-in instructions.
Tuesday November 5: Election Day. Please vote!
Monday November 11: Veterans Day. Please remember to thank one or more veterans today for their service to our country, protecting our liberty and way of life.
